Tinus du Plessis (born 3 April 1984 in Windhoek)[1] is a Namibian rugby union player. He is a member of the Namibia national rugby union team. He was selected for the Namibian squad to play in the 2007 Rugby World Cup where he made three appearances.[2] Having appeared in the Africa Cup in 2008 and 2009 and the RWC 2011 Qualifiers he now has 23 full international caps. He has played for Rotherham Titans RFC in National 1 as a professional player and was their player of the year in 2009. He was a member of the victorious Namibia Squad that won the 2010 IRB Nations Cup which went alongside their 2009 African Cup win. He attended Windhoek High School in Windhoek and is a graduate from Stellenbosch University. He is a physical mobile modern day back row player who plays on both flanks and at number eight.
